"I was surprised at how flexible the program was and how it changed my worked life balance... I appreciate having less wear and tear on my vehicle plus fewer cars coming to campus benefits the environment."

COVID UPDATES: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provide information about how to use rideshare safely during COVID-19, as well as guidelines for safe carpooling. Revise Your Ride commuter benefits are limited to carpools and vanpools that have received TPS approval and have permission to work on campus through EHS.

University carpools consist of at least two University employees or a university employee and a Princeton affiliate. Registered carpoolers receive a $200 deposit each semester in their paychecks and are eligible for priority parking on campus. If you and a colleague(s) at Princeton would like to set up your own carpool, click here to apply online.

To be eligible for the incentive, carpoolers must be full-time, benefits-eligible employees and must participate in a carpool for a minimum of six months to receive semesterly incentives. Carpoolers will share a single carpool permit and may park in any number of marked “Carpool/Vanpool” spaces on campus (see list of locations below) or in their originally assigned lots with that carpool permit. Each participant may pick-up packs of 12 daily permits every 4 months to drive alone and park in Lots 20 or 21.

**COVID impacts on vanpool**

Do you have at least three other colleagues that wish to share a commute? If so, the University will provide your group with a FREE Enterprise van as well as a $100 deposit each semester in your paycheck. If you are ready to join or create a vanpool, please complete an application on the TPS portal.

To be eligible for the program, vanpoolers must be full time, benefits-eligible employees. Vanpool participants are not eligible for an annual parking permit. Instead, vanpoolers will share a single vanpool permit and each participant activate one of a limited number of daily parking passes for days they must drive alone.

Click here to view Princeton University's Vanpool Policy in PDF format. To be a vanpool driver you must meet the criteria listed here.

**Joining or forming a vanpool is currently suspended due to the continuing public health crisis**
