Planning an Event?

Arrival on campus is often attendees’ first impression of your event.

To support that experience, it is critical for you as an event planner to work with Transportation and Parking Services in advance. Depending on your event scope and logistics, additional at-cost services may be required.

Requesting event-related Parking and Transit services is now easier than ever with EMS. When scheduling your event, just make sure to select your requested services! Please complete your requests in advance of your event to allow TPS time to coordinate any needed logistics:

  • Parking: at least 5 business days in advance.
  • Transit: at least 10 business days in advance.

Once we receive your EMS request, please expect a personalized email or other follow-up to discuss and finalize logistics.

Elm Drive access

In order to maintain safety for all and livable space for Princeton’s undergraduate residents, unauthorized vehicles are restricted from accessing Princeton’s historic core.

ADA accommodations are available for event attendees. For more information, please see the Campus Accessibility page. Additional accommodations may be available through EMS.

Promote Alternative Transportation

An unprecedented stretch of construction has commenced on campus. Although each project is exciting and will advance the mission of the University, the impact on parking and transportation will be significant, particularly during this academic year.

What does this mean for events? Until the completion of the Stadium Drive Garage in Fall 2022, parking in all campus lots will reach capacity far more frequently than in prior years.

To help minimize these impacts on your event and the greater campus community, please encourage event attendees to consider public transit instead of driving whenever possible. Princeton’s campus is highly accessible by public transit, which also happens to more sustainable – lower carbon emissions per trip.

Alternative transportation materials for event communications will be available by September 2021,  until then, please direct event attendees to the detailed transit information on the TPS website.
