Bike lock removal As a service to University community members who have registered their bikes, you can get your lock cut for free by Facilities if you’ve forgotten a combination or misplaced a key. Lock removals can be scheduled for 8 AM, 10 AM, or 2 PM. 24-hour advance notice is required in order to accommodate requests.Requirements for lock removal: Bike must be registered with the University Complete the Lock Removal FormRegistered owner must present ID at the time of lock removal Need a lock? We recommend a U-Lock, a sturdy lock that requires power tools to cut, limiting opportunities for bike theft. U-locks are readily available at any of the three local bike shops in Princeton or online.
