Appealing a citation Appeals submitted for the reasons listed below will not be considered Safety violations such as parking in a fire lane or in front of a hydrant.Unauthorized parking in a handicapped or medical space. Displaying an altered, forged, stolen, lost, or unauthorized permit. Repeat violations that have been previously appealed. Boots or tows. To submit an appeal Create an account or sign in to complete the online appeals form within 10 days of the citation issue date. If your appeal is denied, you must pay all outstanding fees within 10 days in order to avoid a $10 late fee. All appeals are reviewed by the appeals committee and decisions are final. Current citations and fines Unauthorized Parking (includes: Failure to obey signs/markings; blocking roadway; parking in unmarked areas) The Fine is $40. No Parking Permit/Vehicle Not Registered The fine is $50. Booting (Vehicle immobilized) The fine is $100. Towing The fine is $150. Marked Fire Lane The fine is $150.
