Electric Vehicle, Sustainability Electric vehicle charging information Where and when can I charge my electric vehicle? Level II Clipper Creek chargers are installed in the following locations: Theater Drive Garage (first level) Prospect Avenue Garage (second level) Stadium Drive Garage (first and lower levels) Access to the EV chargers is currently available for: Commuters: Commuting staff, faculty, and students with an active permit may charge their vehicles for up to 4 hours. Electric vehicles must be associated with your active permit. Campus Residents: Campus residents with active permits may charge between 4 PM – 7 AM, Monday through Friday, or any time on weekends. Electric vehicles must be associated with your active permit. Visitors: Visitors with active daily permits may use the complimentary EV charging stations located in the Stadium Drive Garage. Please follow the directions at the charger to start your charging session. Is electric vehicle charging free? At this time, there is no fee to utilize EV charging stations. How do I use a charging station? Visitors: Please follow visitor charging instructions located next to the chargers at Stadium Drive Garage. Commuters and Residents Register as an electric charging station user with Transportation and Parking Services. (Electric vehicles must be associated with the active permit.) After parking in marked electric vehicle space, note the charging station number on the wall-mounted charger. Locate the white electric charging station kiosk nearby. At the kiosk, tap your TigerCard on the card reader and follow the prompts to enter your phone number and electric vehicle charging station number. Return to your vehicle, remove the charging connector, and plug the charger into your electric vehicle. Vehicles should only be parked in an electric vehicle space for up to four consecutive hours and must be moved to a non-electric vehicle charging space once charging is completed. Register your electric vehicle Registering your electric vehicle is the first step to begin charging your vehicle on campus.
