Academic Year Parking (August - May) Undergraduates are eligible for campus parking permits by exemption only.Undergraduate students facing an extraordinary hardship, medical condition, or disability or who otherwise demonstrate a compelling need for a personal vehicle may apply for a permit. A “compelling need” is generally defined by necessary and frequent travel that cannot be accommodated by University, commercial, regional, or local transit options. Exemptions do not mean proximal parking – parking permits will be assigned to lots on the periphery of campus. Having a permit in a previous year does not guarantee a permit will be renewed, student must apply for a parking exemption each year.Please note that you are not permitted to bring your car to campus until the request process is complete and if approved, the permit has been issued by Transportation and Parking Services (TPS). Enrolled students are not considered visitors and will be cited if found using visitor permits.Permit exception requestsRequests submitted after July 15 will not be reviewed until after September 15. For requests based on a medical condition/disability Students must submit a Request for Accommodation and upload supporting documentation to the Office of Disability Services (ODS). If you have previously made an accommodation request of any type to ODS, you should complete a Supplemental Request by logging into your Accommodate portal. If you have never requested an accommodation from ODS previously, please complete the Request for Accommodation form. More information about requesting accommodations and documentation forms can be found on the ODS website. Requests for parking permits will be reviewed by ODS through the same process as other accommodation requests, which are reviewed in the order received. The process may take 2-4 weeks, especially during high volume times. For requests based on extraordinary hardship or other compelling need Please complete the Parking Permit Request Form. Students who submit requests based on extraordinary hardship or compelling need by July 15 will be notified by August 15. Requests made after the start of the academic year will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Overnight guest (Sunday - Thursday) Undergraduate students are responsible for obtaining a $5 overnight pass for Lot 19 prior to their guest’s arrival on campus for stays between Sunday and Thursday:Login to MyTransportation using your University credentials.Select “My Daily Passes” from top menuClick on “New Daily Pass" and select the “Overnight Guest” pass optionEnter your guest's license plate info (state and number) and date of visit. Click “Next”Click “Activate” and follow the directions to pay with a credit card. Limited number of passes allotted per semester. Need vehicle access to Elm Drive? Outside of Move-In/Move-Out and the start/end of University class breaks (Fall, Winter, Spring), vehicle access past the guard booth and onto Elm Drive is by approval only. Request Elm Drive access at least 2 business days in advance. Please note that Lyft, Uber, and other taxi services are never permitted past the Elm Drive guard booth.
